      Shared roster

      Browser storage doesn't travel between devices or web addresses. This keeps one copy on the computer that any device can pull down — handy for typing a squad in on a real keyboard and then loading it on the phone.

      The match

      How long a game runs and how far it can go. This holds from one game to the next — a competition doesn't change its rules week to week. It sets which periods the clock offers and what “End Half” moves you into.

      How far the game can go

      Shootout kicks are logged like any other shot, on their own Penalties period. They never touch the score — the report keeps them apart and shows the shootout on its own, the way football counts it.

      Situation

      The first in this list is pre-selected on every shot, so put your most common situation first.

      Expected goals (xG)

      Estimates the chance each shot had of being scored, from where it was taken, how it was struck and the situation. It's a rough model, not a measurement — useful for comparing chance quality. For entertainment purposes only. Shown as a team total and per player on the Game Report, and live on the tracker.

      Passwords

      Two passwords, and they do different things. The viewing password lets someone watch — the live game, past reports, the stats. The tracker password lets someone log shots on their own phone, which is what the “Tracker Cohort” link at the foot of the live page asks for.

      Changing a password stops new sign-ins with the old one. Anyone already signed in stays signed in — sessions last a year and don’t carry the password.

      Signing out returns this device to the password screen. Your games and rosters are on the server and are not affected.
